 The golden, morning sunshine just before arriving at Steepbank Lake

 off the Hanson Lake Road.

 This is just one of my amazing little backroads

that I like to explore in the springtime.

Who I Am

You may wonder who I am

I'm a country  girl

from beginning to end

makes no difference

for I always will be.

In a farm house I was born

on and cold and frosty morn

My growing up years, I was aware

my love for nature was always there

Though barnyard chores were not my thing

I learned to cook and bake the bread

My Dad taught me well, out in the wild

when I was a child

I tripped along behind him

on many trails

to the Torch River and beyond

The river there, my favorite place

where I love to sit

enjoy the space

I think of things

that could have been

but grateful now

for what was, what is

But even now

the wilderness calls

Calls me home.
